Risk Disclaimer
Read this before you connect a brokerage, publish a record, or act on anything you read here.
We are not an adviser, and we are not regulated
Stnding is software that publishes performance data. It is not a broker, an investment adviser, a fund or a portfolio manager, and it is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or any other financial regulator. We do not hold your money or your securities, we cannot place an order, and connecting a brokerage does not make you a client of ours.
Nothing here is advice
Records, charts, holdings, notes, profiles and anything shown in Explore are information, not a recommendation. Nothing on this site is an offer, an invitation or an inducement to buy, sell or hold anything, and nothing here is tailored to your circumstances, your objectives or your capacity for loss.
A person publishing a record here is not your adviser. We do not check who they are, whether they are permitted to publish, or whether what they say about themselves elsewhere is true. Anything you do after reading a record is your decision alone. Do not send money to anyone because of what you read here. If you need advice, get it from someone authorised to give it.
Past performance says nothing about the future
A record shows what an account did over a period that has already happened. It is not a forecast and not a guide to what the same approach will do next. Good results can come from luck, from concentration, or from taking risk that has not yet cost anything. A long record is not a safe one.
You can lose money
Investing and trading put your capital at risk and you may get back less than you put in, or nothing. Leverage, derivatives and concentrated positions increase that risk. Cryptoassets are highly volatile and, in the United Kingdom and many other places, are largely unregulated and not covered by investor compensation schemes. Do not commit money you cannot afford to lose.
What the figures are, and are not
The percentages on a record are computed by Stnding from what a brokerage sends. They are estimates produced by software. They are not audited, not certified by an accountant, and not a statement of account from any brokerage. About explains how they are worked out.
A record covers only the accounts that are connected to it. It does not know about money held elsewhere, it does not adjust for tax, and fees, interest and corporate actions appear only as far as the brokerage reports them. Figures can be restated when a brokerage corrects its data. Holdings for past days may be reconstructed, and a record marks where its marks are approximate.
Records are published on a delay, so what you are looking at is deliberately old. A record in Discreet Mode is showing you shape without amounts. Neither is the full picture, and neither is meant to be.
Demonstration records
The sample records on the site, including trader-alpha and quiet-harbor, are illustrations built for the product. They are marked as demonstrations, no money was ever at stake in them, and the figures on them are not anyone’s results.
Other people's services
SnapTrade, brokerages, and any site linked from here are independent of us. Their own terms, fees and risks apply, and we are not responsible for what they do or fail to do, including a sync that arrives late, incomplete or wrong.
If you are the one publishing
Publishing your record makes you its publisher. Check it against your brokerage statements before you rely on it in front of anyone. Do not present it as audited or approved, do not use it to invite anyone to invest unless you are permitted to make that kind of communication, and check whether your employer, your regulator or your brokerage allows you to publish your positions at all. The Terms of Use set out what you are agreeing to.
